Terms & Conditions

Last updated 21 September 2026. This covers using this website and account — not a credit agreement. If you’re approved for a loan, that loan has its own separate written agreement with its own terms.

Where we're at

TrueLend (Pty) Ltd is currently completing National Credit Regulator registration. Creating an account or submitting an application does not mean a loan will be issued — no loan is disbursed until registration is confirmed and your application has passed a real affordability assessment.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and a South African resident to use this site.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • Information you give us must be accurate — giving false information on an application is fraud, and we’re required to report it.

Applying for a loan

Submitting an application isn’t a guarantee of approval. Every application goes through a real affordability assessment, as required by the National Credit Act — we can’t and won’t skip this, even if you’re confident you can repay. We may decline an application, or approve a smaller amount than requested, based on that assessment.

Costs are capped by law, not by us

Every fee and interest rate you’ll ever see from TrueLend is capped by the National Credit Act — we don’t set them arbitrarily, and we can’t charge above those caps. The calculator on our homepage uses the exact same calculation a real loan would.

What we don't allow

  • Creating an account with someone else’s identity.
  • Uploading a fraudulent or altered document as proof of income.
  • Attempting to interfere with or abuse the site (automated scripts, scraping, attempting to bypass security).

We may suspend or close an account for any of the above, and report it where the law requires.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business develops (for example, once NCR registration is confirmed and real lending begins). We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do.

Questions

Email hello@truelend.co.za.

These terms will be reviewed by a qualified attorney before NCR registration is finalised, and replaced with a full credit agreement template once real lending begins.
